Up for sale is a 1976 Volkswagen Beetle with lime green exterior, tan interior and less than 67500 original miles. It has a double jointed axle and the engine is fuel injected. It was driven by my grandmother back and forth in her town until it became mine in the 90s. Many years later, I could use the space and would like to find it a new home. It has a new brand new battery. My dad and I restored it back then and it has a few modifications. The battery has been relocated to the trunk (not under the back seat), it has a 90s era alarm with some modifications, and it has an external loudspeaker. A starter solenoid has also been installed for quick starter engagement. Points have been removed and have been replaced with a Pertronix ignition module. Runs great but one of the valves (possibly an intake) is currently sticking intermittently when it is started cold. Seats are fine but carpeting needs to be replaced. |
