Description

I have for sale a awesome condition for its age a 1971 vw bus,has the weekender z bed, cabinets, cushions, procar seats for my comfort level but have the seats that came out of it,all the interior has been removed for restoration and reinstalled, things divo has had done. new tires, brakes, calipers rebuilt, wheel cylinders replaced, all rubber brake hoses and booster hos, master cylinder, brake grommets to reservoirs, brake booster .all cv boots replaced and cv grease replaced, also added wheel trim rings and very rare hard to find fuchs style hub caps made by demar corp for sears in the 1970's .all rubber door seal, window seals and scrapers, all the jolousie windows have been cleaned and new seals installed also. door window felts and scrapers replaced, new blinker lens, light, reflectors, front and rear blinker rubber seals,71 era mirrors,i do have the original trailer mirrors that came on it also, stereo installed with speaker wires ran to rear and front, stereo works great and sounds wonderful, avis lowering for up to 4 inch drop in front axle beam done by other, engine was removed and checked out ring wear and was none so dont know prior history but my guess was refurbished by factory and s/n is not present just a "a" on motor.vehicle has 78,100 miles so i was surprised of condition of motor ring wear, reassembled motor and installed new clutch, accelerator cable and carb and new intake, engine has been resealed and all new gaskets for a clean under carraige and in this dual port 1600 has the 043 heads instead of the 113 heads on it runs awesome, also put in the correct muffler system and have the after market muffler system also but in my opinion the after market one sounds way better that the stock system, very minimal rus, new carpet front and rear, rear camper seats have been recovered also, and new curtains and rod, I have restored and sold many vw in my life time and this is the best example of a transporter i have seen around this area without major body work and not rusted to high heaven for being in the midwest . installed new barnwood style paneling in the camper area and front doors and kick panels and looks great and new front cab headliner.also new seat stand mats have been installed. has the dining table and a fold up table behind the passenger seat. if this is something you would like to take a look at just give me a call with any questions . all the hard mechanical work is finished and interior looks nice ! this is a very nice vw . The 71 a very sought after and unique bus because its the 1st year of the front power disc brakes and the last year of the reliable type 1 beetle moto, please remember this is almost 50 years old and does have a few bumps and bruises but nothing major, outside is of original condition as i got it i have buffed it out several times and i dig the old school patina look and rust is minimal, rockers and doglegs are solid and under carraige is in great conditio, i have replaced the floor at the passenger and drivers outer sides and very little metal was used and came out nice, with a little effort on body, paint work could be a very nice bus for many years to come.clean and clear nebraska title in my name . If needed i can help meet and load with shipping compan, i am sure i have forgot more things i have done to divo, last few pics are of my restoration projects as i have done many, good luck and look forward to talking to ya, please no text, this vehicle is also listed locally and do reserve the right to end this auction listing if it sells. thanks kevin 402-805-0117
