Description

That's right, this is 15 window bus in the best VW color for a split window bus there ever was. Turkis. The bus is stunning and it is tremendously unlikely you'll ever see another 15 window bus in general, never mind this well sorted in person. Largely kept to original configuration with rear passenger seats including often misplace folding middle seat. Tasteful addition of the safari windows included as seen, an obvious must for any split window bus. The nose on this bus is literally perfect, no dents or weird lines like so many others. The deluxe trim and the rare rear corner windows really set this bus apart. Attended this years local cruise in last week and took the peoples choice award no contest. She starts right up, runs and drives well with no real unnecessary modifications, and needs only a few simple accessories replaced or fixed (Horn button not original, passenger door handle tip broke, rear tail light probably a bulb, etc... small stuff). As is, she is great for cruising to local car nights, ice cream shops, and my kids have loved 'taking the bus' to school. Fair warning, this usually results in at least a couple fully packed joy rides for the other kids, and often their parents! If you've never owned one of these old buses, especially one this iconic and this clean, prepare yourself for tons of peace signs, picture requests, and long conversations at the pump. You meet the greatest people in a bus. Undercarriage of this one is the primary importance when looking for one of these things. The frame and undercarriage on this bus is incredibly well kept and entirely rust free. Any rust concerns that had come up in the past had been dealt with accordingly and to very high standards before my time. No bs backyard 'rivet repairs' as so many of us discover... This bus was either done right, or not touched because it never needed it. A restoration, or reviving if you will was done some many years back and still looks extremely presentable today. In my opinion this is a notch beyond your typical 'driver quality' and it truly does show very very nicely.

I am a huge fan of these old air cooled buses, and air cooled cars, and have luckily scored the opportunity to take on the ownership of an old long hood Porsche, hence the sale. I'm motivated, as often the window of opportunity doesn't stay open long so I'm looking to sell quickly. I encourage any and all questions you might have, insist they be asked prior to auction close, and welcome any inspection or test drives for anyone serious prior to your bid. I have listed it locally, and will be attending this weekends car show with a price on the window if the weather looks nice, so please reach out if your interested sooner than later. That said, if it sells elsewhere, I do reserve the right to end the auction early. I can help with preparing for shipping, and have done it before for those who haven't. Shipping of course is ultimately the buyers responsibility cost and coordinating however I'll do what I can to make it go smoothly. Please also note I have sold several items and two other cars here on eBay, one recent and another a few years back and everything was a breeze when said and done as the feedback will attest to. Out of country purchasing is fine also, and I have a clear and ready title to be transferred in your name at close of sale. Roof racks have been removed and are promised to my buddy and not included unless you opt to buy it now for $28,000 and they are a must have... Typically when reserve is met, buy it now vanishesso just shoot me an email and we can call it a day at that price and you can secure the purchase on the spot. As you can tell, I'm being aggressive to get this done yesterday, and I'll kick myself for selling this bus someday, I know that, but these old Porsche are already out of reach so I gotta act fast! As you'd expect, the sale is considered final upon agreement or auctions end, and there is no warranty promised or implied.
