This 1964 Volvo 1800s left the factory from Sweden July of 1964 and was sold in America brand new in Seattle WA in 1965, it was titled as a 65'. It's had 3 previous owners, the last one was a school teacher who owned it for 27 years. In 1990 it underwent it's first paint job and also had the upholstery redone, see receipts. The color is a close match to the original but it's slightly whiter than the original 79-1 color code. The car is very complete, only missing the original radio. It does have the early original rare "Red V" hub caps.

The body on this 1800 is straight, no signs of any accident or major repairs. All panels seem to be original. The only respray it had was in 1990, it looks good but does show its age, some rust repair on the rockers was done at the time of the respray. Upon closer inspection you will find a few rock chips, scratches a few little dings and wear and tear from driving, there is some paint checking by the gas tank door. To win any car shows you would need a newer respray, but it does look fine cruising down the road.

The brightwork on this 1800 is very nice with no signs of pitting, rust, dings or dents. There is a ding on the front chrome grille surround where the bullhorn bumpers look to have pushed in a bit. The windows are in great shape expect for a small chip on the passenger side front windshield. Glass looks to be original.

The interior was redone in 1990, using the appropriate leather on the front seats and vinyl on the backs. There is a few spots that need to be patched, the back seat does have a 1" tear along the bottom with a spot on the top of the backrest. The back of the passenger seat has a 2" spot needing attention. The front leather seats do not have any holes or tears, pretty good shape for 27 years old.

This 1800 comes with the original manual, tool kit and blue Volvo folder, along with the original jack, spare tire and original SU Carbs.

The gas cap lid still locks along with the doors and trunk. There's no rust in the gas lid area. The front guages are clean, no cracks on the plastic covers. The clocks doesn't work along with the speedometer, records indicate it stopped working in the late 90's it reads 83k. Wipers, lights, turn signals and horn all work as expected.

The stock B18 is very clean and has 175 PSI in all all cylinders. The brake booster is off of the car but we will include it in the sale. This engine does NOT leak, it's very tight. The overdrive on this car is not functioning, the light does not come on when flipped. It does get close to 70mph in 4th gear. This is a very strong running car, the engine has great pull with no hesitation, its does not burn oil.

All the floor jacking cup points are intact. The cross members look aged along with the floor but there's only minor areas of corrosion, no major big holes or rot. The gas tank is clean with no signs of any rust.

The front of the car looks rust free with no signs of any corrosion. There is a Swedish sticker on the back by the "V" - it works on the car in my opinion so I left it there. The tires are older and will need replaced. It's come with a lot of paperwork from all 3 owners. Please see the video link below for a walk around. Thanks and good luck bidding.
