1971 Volvo 145
Description
Up for sale is my 1971 Volvo 145. This is a unique car, as it is all 100% original. The car was originally bought in Virginia by a family, who used it sparingly, but was taken to Mt. Rushmore in 1975 during the bi-centennial as there still is a sticker in the front window from the park entrance. It was then used very little as the years went on. Honestly a grocery getter car for the lady who drove it. It was then bought and sat for many years when a friend of mine picked it up and did some work to it. I then fell in love with the car and bought it from him.It has absolutely no rust on the frame or floor pans. There is however a small rust bubble by the back window, about the size of a quarter. The interior is all original, paint is all original, and milage is 100% accurate. Everything works in the car as it should. It starts right up every time and runs smooth. It does have the auto trans, but it shifts smooth and is pretty zippy. By 71 Volvo introduced fuel injection on most cars, so this would be a very early build according to Volvo. I reached out to Volvo and they informed me the car was original and came off the line with carbs. Tires are brand new, complete engine tune up, the only two things I would recommend is replacing the side mirrors as they are pitted, and get a new gas tank as when you fill the tank up completely you get some gas fumes. That would be something I would do if I kept the car.I have several pictures and videos of the car if you would like to see if. I am open to offers, but I really dont want to sell the car.If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call or text me. 479-899-5489
