1972 Volvo P1800ES Survivor, Oregon car, very solid, great runner
Description
You are viewing my 1972 Volvo P1800ES wagon. This car is a survivor which spent most of its life in Oregon and Idaho. It is a very solid example of the P1800ES with solid floors and wheel wells. When I received the car the prior owner mentioned he had some minor rot on the rocker panels. Since I spent the last 30 years of my life as a professional Austin Healey and Jaguar restorer, I decided to replace the rockers and blend the paint to match the original paint using Glasurit single stage. Both rockers were completely replaced using the proper steel replacement.
Other recent upgrades include new Vedrestein tires ( 5), new rear muffler, a complete fluid change, oil change including filter, new fuel tank, new fuel filter, new fuel injectors and seals. The car runs and drives well. The manual transmission and clutch shifts smoothly and make no wear sounds, overdrive functions well. Brakes function well, steering is nice. Suspension feels normal, eventually new shocks would be a good idea. Gauges, temp, oil pressure, fuel, tach, speedo all function well, clock does not function and oil temp gauge seems very slow. Lights function well, except dash lights. Car is equipped with AC which is not functioning. new kit is available to upgrade the current system for about $500 from the P1800 parts shop. Front drivers seat shows wear, could use some help.Original minor tool kit included.
I have more cars than space at home, more projects than time encourages this sale.
