Description

USA BUYERS ONLY. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Car runs and drives. Starts quickly every time. It's a Model 97, six cylinder. Transmission shifts OK, as long as you double-clutch it (non-synchromesh). Solid body and frame. All original as far as I can tell. Re-painted by prior owner at some point in its past. Paint chipping and scratched in spots, but OK for a driver. Would be an easy re-paint. No rust-through of sheet metal anywhere. No dents either. Only spots of surface rust. Solid trunk, with only light surface rust. Good chrome on radiator shell. Lights work. Has working turn signals (probably an add-on). Tires have good tread on then. The whitewall rubber has lots of fine cracks, but the rest of the rubber on the tires looks OK. Horn need re-wiring. Needs new fabric top. Top apparently was slashed at some point and repaired with tape. Needs complete new interior, except for seat which was re-covered and in good condition. Has recent rebuilt fuel pump. Clutch chatters and probably should be replaced. Brakes are weak and need adjustment. They’re mechanical brakes. I put in a new battery and new spark plugs this week. See last pic for view of the old plugs. They have dry carbon deposits, but no oil. A good sign of engine condition. Probably needs carb adjustment or carb rebuild. All in all a worthy project. I’m downsizing and will be moving within the next few months, so it’s time to let the Willys go. I’ll miss it!
