1952 Willis Jeep CJ3 Civilian 4 cylinder OHV motor upgrade, NO RUST, Runs/Drives
Description
1952 Willis Jeep CJ-3 Civilian with NO RUST. It was restored in 2000 by a old Jeep enthusiast. He usually restored only GPW Ford Jeeps, however, when he found this one with no rust, he decided it would be his last project. He upgraded the motor from the flat head continental to the later model OHV mid sixties model. It runs great and does not have any issues. I recently added a new fuel pump, new belt, cleaned the fuel tank, new U-Joints, adjusted the carb and choke. It still needs the transmission/transfer case resealed due to a slight leak. The shifter on the transfer case that is being held with a strap needs to be replaced as it pops out of gear from time to time (see Pic). With that being said, Yes, It runs and drives, stops and accelerated on its own. The seats are in good shape. There is one or two areas where there is separation of material, however, no rips or tears. The mileage on the odometer is not the actual mileage of the motor since the restoration. I would say it has less than 500 miles on it since 2000. It was in a barn in East Texas for 12 plus years and then was in a shop where it became a conversation piece. I purchased it from the owner and got it all back together and now it is ready for the new owner to take and enjoy. Please contact me via email or phone for any questions you may have. This is being sold AS-IS and does have a clean title to go with it. It will be transferred into the new owners name and if you live in Texas You will be paying the Taxes associated with the purchase and all associated transfer fees. Windshield does fold down. Tires are old, no dry rot, Good tread. Brakes work, Good Parade vehicle and excellent piece for a collection. 281-427-9321.... woodycar2000@yahoo.com
