Description

Here's the car facts on Nelly Belle.

I bought it from the original owners. Their land adjoins BLM so it has very few road miles. It was used for the farm and hunting season. A few years ago the owner started to restore it. At 7,127 miles the engine was gone through. At 9,715 miles the clutch, transmission, transfer case and rear axle was redone. Recently he began body work and replaced body mounts with urethane. This Jeep has spent it's life within 50 miles of home in our high desert climate. Cars don't rust here in Western Colorado. The body work sucks and so does the paint. Everything else is done.

The electric system is 6 volt but it is converted to electronic ignition. It has an alternator and a Motorola solid state 6v regulator.

Vehicle starts right up even at 4 degrees ( I know). It runs like a watch. It doesn't smoke or use oil. The steering is tight. Suspension is tight with no issues.

This is a good solid original Jeep. The hard top was added shortly after purchase for our cold mountain hunting seasons. Hardtop was made by Koenig Iron Works in Houston Texas. Because of the hard top, the tub, floorboards and fuel tank are in excellent condition. It has always had the two sturdy rifle racks between the seats.

She's a homely little mutt but you would be hard pressed to find a 62 year old Jeepin better original condition.
