1972 AMC Javelin Former Alabama State Trooper Highway Patrol Car. 1 of 16 Police Duty Javelins known to exist in the Registry. Still retains its Original Property Number 35-11593 on the Firewall. See the Registry site herehttp://www.javelinamx.com/javhome/copcar/alabama1.htm. It is one of the first batch of 72's made to fulfill the late 1971 order and as such was painted the 71 Silver. It wears the proper door shield for 71 as well. The Fleet Duty 401 has been fully rebuilt as well as the heavy duty suspension and brakes. All gauges and tachometer work. The last 3 photos show both 71 and 72 models and also an advertisement in the back of a '71 Road & Track Magazine showing the first donated Javelin AMX to the Alabama Highway Patrol by Reinhardt Motors. Both door shields are printed on magnets and fully removable. Also the STATE TROOPER decal on the rear spoiler is adhered by static cling. The Dietz 2-11 Roof Beacon contains a magnet and is removable. The seats are not the original tampico vinyl.
