This beautiful ragtop with the ultra-rare 4-speed is as clean as the pictures show, you will not be disappointed. Its fast, tight, waterproof, starts every time with just a crank of the key, no issues with the clutch or shift linkage, or any of the usual issues that affect 5-1 year old muscle cars. If your'e in the market for a '68 GS 400 you already know all the high points. If you are looking for a luxurious, gorgeous, road-burning classic that is pretty much guaranteed to be the only one in your town, here she is.
Two updates since the pictures were taken - I finally located an original accessory switch (it had an 'almost perfect' '74 Buick switch previously) and installed it. You can't see it because it's behind the dash, but it's nice to know its there. The top goes up and down with ease, like it did with the old switch. It's also got new wheels and tires, both of which look like those in the pictures but are slightly better - 15x10 Coker Rallye wheels in the back and 15x7s up front, new Rallye caps and lug nuts and valvestems to go with BFG Radial T/A's all around. Its very hard to tell that these aren't stock, but the rear tires are a few inches wider. Better traction when you stand on the gas and a more aggressive appearance. The old tires and wheels come with the car if you want them, I think the wheels might be original.
If you wanted to you could drive this car every day. I only take it out a few times a year and I need the garage space back. Send me a message if you need any info or want to discuss any of the details.
