I have owned this car for 18 years. The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner in the early 90’s. I have no idea what was done to the engine. I have never had the engine out of the car. It has a great sounding cam.
The car was disassembled 8 years ago and repainted. The hood, fenders, doors, and trunk lid were media blasted. The rest of the car was stripped. The fenders only had some small pin holes at the bottom and were repaired. The doors, hood and trunk lid were perfect and needed no repair. The quarter panels were replaced with ½ quarters and were bonded on with epoxy to prevent rust from starting behind them. The front floor and trunk had some pin holes and were replaced also. This car was not a rust bucket as can be seen in the pictures. It still has the original fuel lines, brake lines, etc. It’s a very solid, nice car.
The body is perfectly straight and the paint is beautiful and shiny.
The vinyl top, headliner, carpet, door panels, emblems, bumpers, and most trim was replaced.
The front suspension was rebuilt about 3 years ago. (new ball joints, tie rods, control arm bushings etc.)
The M20 transmission was rebuilt 4 months ago and shifts perfectly.
It has a new radio with new speakers in the dash and rear package tray.
This car originally was a green bench seat interior. It has been changed to black bucket seats with console and tach in dash. The seats are from a Camaro.
The engine is dirty and needs repainted. It leaks a little oil when parked. The pinion seal is needing replaced. The seats need reupholstered. It could use new tires (they are 15 years old). The chrome on the rear bumper is coming off around the license plate area.
The car has never let me down. I entered an autocross event last summer and had a blast. I took it on a 330 mile trip last week with no problems. It runs and drives great.
