Description

Up for auction is this 1975 El Camino SS. This true barn find is an unbelievable survivor wearing most everything it came with, and has never been restored, allthough a small performance cam kit and aluminum intake and carb were added for some much needed get up and go as was a new dual exhaust system. It was found in a neiboring farmers garage months after he died and purchased buy a resident of that same town. Other than some surface rust, this car has no rust thru, never had it, and has never had anthing more that minor paint touch ups by original owner. It had sat for many years in that barn and it shows in the condition of the factory original door pannel, seat, even the door and window seals are in awesome shape. The dash is as close to perfect as I have ever seen. The exterior body is unbelievable with only a minor scratch or a ding here and there, hardly noticable at all and the bright work is compete as day 1 and in exelennt shape including bed rails. There is a small bend in rear bumper caused recentlly by a teen not paying attention. Of course tires were replaced due to age and were original when swapped. This SS is equipt with the 350/th350 combo and included power steering, power disc brakes, cruise control, AM, FM, and cold airconditioning. It drives like a 2 year old, not one of its age and has bypassed many a rattle producing miles to get where its at today, very quiet drive for a car of its age and drives as it should with everything working and sounds good to boot with a slight rumpty rump in the exhausrt note. All fluids and wear items needing replaced due to its exteended sleep have been addressed and this Elky has no issues . I feel it could be driven coast to coast comfortably with out issues so a fly in drive home is possible even advisable. I am not a numbers cruncher and cant tell you how many were produces in this color or that motor but when is the last time you saw anything with 26xxx miles, let alone a classic, and if in doubt of its value, see what the classic car insurers are saying about this series Camino. Get it when the getting is good.
