you are welcome to view the car at henry's trailer shop 1486 e. chase ave. el cajon ca. CALL BEFORE YOU COME- (619) 588-4683. one of the trailer guys will answer- i don't live there- i'm in alpine. my number up here is (619) 445-0577 if you have any questions. early evening is best. i will post a notice of this open viewing soon in eBay. i don't want anyone to say they didn't get a chance at pre-inspection, and i consider pre-inspection a right that should be afforded to all prospective car bidders/buyers. the guys at the shop can show you the car- they do not know the details- it's best to call me at home (rob) if you plan to view the car and i can be available for you. rob
IF you come to view the car- plan on doing so during the shop's business hours of 8am-4pm PST. the yard is secured during non-business hours and during the lunch hour from noon til 1pm PST.
a fellow eBayer inquired about the floors and the rust situation with this car. the floors are solid and the only rust abatement carried out on this car was in 1985 when the car got its mint white and cool blue paint at barwick imports body shop. the rockers were cut off and repaired with new rocker sections. there was also a little rust on the bottoms of the quarter panel extensions- both common rust spots on these cars. there are a couple of small trouble spots settling in the windshield and back lite glass rubber channels. the rubbers are cracked and need to be replaced/resealed. there are aftermarket glass rubbers available if you can't get the oe stuff. i recall some small spots on the flip-out windows- shouldn't be hard to remedy.. the original yellow paint can still be seen in a lot of places (like the engine room) and the body is in surprisingly good shape rust-wise. just a really good buildable blank. rc
