Description

4/1972 model. from brea datsun and been in orange and SD counties its entire life. factory hard suspension- early X-member with short 610 struts and factory firm cartridges under euro springs (possibly interpart) in front and lowered rear stock early X-member (no cutting) with an R180 open diff (4.111). great starter street blank for UFO or nissan/nizmo enthusiast. no cuts and stock steering stuff. good percentage of interior is there- need tach or light cluster, steering wheel, and center dash piece and ash tray. the exterior stuff missing is gone, so this would be a perfect project for a club guy or friend who has bodywork experience and parts connections. needs windshield- other glass is okay. prolly will need a RH quarter and RH door. i have had this car for a long time (1981) and had LOTS of fun in her over 340K miles. now i'm older and am having health issues and don't have a place to store her. it's time for someone else to enjoy her. have ORIGINAL CLEAR TITLE. no flakes or dreamers, please and i do mean that. FOB el Cajon, Ca. If the winning bidder doesn't get her within 72 hours- the next highest bidder gets her. sounds cold, but thats the way i have to to do it. i need to get rid of her ASAP and want a 510 guy to bring her back to life. i'm not out to make money here- i'm willing to help with towing locally @ a dollar per mile (or agreement) if a local bidder wins her. she will need to be flatbedded to her new home. winning bidder to pay non-refundable $100 deposit to me thru Paypal (due 24 hours from auction close) with balance due payable in cash or LOCAL bank check. thanks for looking.

for those seriously interested in buying 'the rocket'-
you are welcome to view the car at henry's trailer shop 1486 e. chase ave. el cajon ca. CALL BEFORE YOU COME- (619) 588-4683. one of the trailer guys will answer- i don't live there- i'm in alpine. my number up here is (619) 445-0577 if you have any questions. early evening is best. i will post a notice of this open viewing soon in eBay. i don't want anyone to say they didn't get a chance at pre-inspection, and i consider pre-inspection a right that should be afforded to all prospective car bidders/buyers. the guys at the shop can show you the car- they do not know the details- it's best to call me at home (rob) if you plan to view the car and i can be available for you. rob

a fellow eBayer inquired about the floors and the rust situation with this car. the floors are solid and the only rust abatement carried out on this car was in 1985 when the car got its mint white and cool blue paint at barwick imports body shop. the rockers were cut off and repaired with new rocker sections. there was also a little rust on the bottoms of the quarter panel extensions- both common rust spots on these cars. there are a couple of small trouble spots settling in the windshield and back lite glass rubber channels. the rubbers are cracked and need to be replaced/resealed. there are aftermarket glass rubbers available if you can't get the oe stuff. i recall some small spots on the flip-out windows- shouldn't be hard to remedy.. the original yellow paint can still be seen in a lot of places (like the engine room) and the body is in surprisingly good shape rust-wise. just a really good buildable blank. rc
