This is a third owner car. Originally purchased by Pete Redfern the number 1 draft pick out of USC to the Minnesota Twins. Major League Baseball pitcher. He had a seven-season career in the majors, from 1976-1982, all with the Minnesota Twins. In October 1983, Redfern was paralized in an ocean diving accident in Newport Beach, California which ended his playing career. The car sat garaged for approx. 5 years, Then sold it to his best friend Gerry Brown, his catcher from Sylmar High, and I bought the car from him.
