No Reserve!! I'm putting my Model A up for sale. This is a period correct built hot rod and not for the faint of heart! The body is 1930 Ford, all steel. The grille shell is an original 1932 Ford car piece. The only aftermarket body part is a '32 style fiberglass dashboard. The body is chopped 4", channeled 4". Windshield is safety plate glass, side windows and rear are plexiglass. Door regulators, handles, latches, and trunk handle and latch are all new. Windshield frame is a chopped original. Seat is a modified minivan seat with Mexican blanket cover. Newer black face Sun gauges. Wiring harness uses blade style fuses in an under dash fuse panel with a custom in house made harness by Koop's Kustoms. The car frame is custom made rails fabricated from 2"x4" rectangular tube steel, 1/4" wall thickness, pie cut and welded at the front to accurately mimic a Model A frame. Front and rear Model A crossmembers with buggy springs, 12" rear frame kick up, and stainless ladder bars with graduated hole center plates. Ladder bars and front split wishbones both incorporate Heim joints for strength. All frame welding was done by HD Welding, Grade A Welding, and Koop's Kustoms. The front axle is '40 Ford with the spring located behind the axle, '40 Ford juice brakes and '63 Buick finned aluminum drums. The rear end is 1955 Chevy.
Now the fun part. The engine is a Q code 1959 Cadillac 390 from a fully optioned Eldorado. Bored .30 over making it 396 cubic inch. 11:1 compression ratio. The heads were redone and fitted with Chevy .202 stainless intake valves. Camshaft is a regrind by Erson Cams, 500/300 full race cam. Ignition is a real Vertex magneto...not a look alike. Water pump, oil pan, timing chain cover, valley pan, upper and lower pulleys, generator, 4 blade fan, and all six carburetors chromed by the Chrome Shop in Neenah, Wi. Water pump was rebuilt. Generator was rebuilt by Fondy Auto Electric. Carburetors are 6 original Stromberg 97's rebuilt by Gordy Teschendorf of Milwaukee on a very rare Edelbrock CA-6 aluminum intake manifold with custom 2" carb risers by Koop's Kustoms. Carburetor linkage was made in house by Koop's Kustoms. Valve covers are rare Edelbrock finned aluminum covers. Crankshaft pulley was three groove and was cut down to a single groove pulley. Headers are six individual stainless Zoomie style pipes made by Bob Norris at Grade A Welding. Custom baffle inserts for headers by Koop's Kustoms. Fuel filter is an aluminum Hilborn reusable screen filter mounted on the firewall. Aluminum octagonal fuel rail by Koop's Kustoms. Fuel pump is a Carter electric.
Transmission is a rebuilt Turbo 400 with a B&M 3500 stall converter and finned aluminum transmission cooler. Shifter is a Hurst Quarter Stick.
The floor of the car is all subframed and has a steel floor welded in with trap doors in it for access to the master cylinder, battery, and transmission dipstick. Tachometer is a vintage Sun 1/2 sweep with matching 8 cylinder magneto Sun tach box. Steering box is 1940 Ford with a custom stainless steering column by Grade A Welding and detachable drag style wheel. Steering column supports are two repurposed connecting rods. Wheels are chrome steelies with chrome bullet lug nuts, and Coker wide white big and little tires front and rear. Tail lights are 1939 Ford, headlights are original Deitz chrome lamps from the 50's on finned aluminum stantions, and the shock are chrome on all 4 corners with '48 Ford F1 shock mounts up front.
