Description

Where to begin with this car....it is one of 1,300 specially-made Starsky & Hutch replica cars that rolled out of the factory in Chicago like this. There are two ways to be sure it's an original: the VIN begins with "6G30" and the DSO number ends in "0022". I have the original build sheet from the factory showing both. Now to the fun stuff: it's got a 351 Windsor engine with headers and dual straight pipes that sound just beautiful. This car is in great shape and could be a daily driver in a warmer climate. I've had the car since 2013 and have never driven in the rain or snow. Judging by the looks of the undercarriage, I dont think the previous owners did either. A look inside the engine compartment will show all new hoses and vacuums. I can't say enough about how well this car runs. I only wish I lived down south! Since I bought it, I've had the transmission re-built, I added a "Retrosound" stereo system, which is blue tooth capable and can play music right from your phone (look it up for more details). I had the instrument panel completely cleaned and restored and added LED bulbs for brighter affect. It even has a siren, flashing "wig-wag" headlights and the red magnetic bubble light that plugs into the cigarette lighter. Everything works perfectly. Every time I take her for a ride, I get waves and thumbs-up from people. Even drove it in 3 parades! The details on this car are great, right down to the red-painted engine block and rear drum brakes. The rake/stance is awesome too, with the big fat tires in the back and the more narrow in the front. Full disclosure: the heater core is broken and the hoses are not hooked up. I have a new core, just haven't felt the need to install it because I only drive in the summer. The heater-motor itself doesn't work, only the vents where you'll feel air when driving. And lastly, the windshield wipers don't work. The car came with a new wiper motor, which I have installed, but not wired yet. Again, I don't see the need.
It also comes with several goodies, including a center console/armrest that I bought for $350, and other small parts and accessories.
I love this car and am only selling her because my wife is leaving her job and we'll need the extra $$$. There is an active loan on the car with a balance of roughly $2400.
I think $15,000 is fair asking price, but I will negotiate within reason. You can even keep the mini-disco ball that hangs from the mirror! Thank you!
