Description

1929 Ford Model A Fordor, all original, running with all electrics working. I looked for a few years before finding a Fordor, lots of Tudors but theFordors are pretty hard to come by. They were the 2nd most expensive ModelA below the Towne Cars - reason why there are so manysoft top trucks (cheapest) through the coupes (mid priced)thenTudors, Fordors and Town Cars being the most expensive and lease common. Body and engine numbers are correct according to web sources - correct for the year, model, plant locations, etc. It appears the engine is the correct original that came with the car. Numbers below.

Still 6v w/generator. Runs and drives, all gears. Brakes work (need adjustment), etc. All electrical systems work, hi/low beams, running lights, brake light, cowl lights & oogah horn. Vehicle has never been titled and is being sold with bill of sale. History: From Kansas originally.Purchased by 2nd owner in early `50s. Purchased by 3nd owner from2nd owner's daughter after her father's death in `80s and was kept in a garage. 3rd owned purchased car in late `80s and kept in garage. I'm the 4th owner and purchased in 2011 and has been in warehouse since.

This was a father/son project that never got off the ground. Itaught my son to drive in this car - figured he would have bragging rights for life. The only missing part that I can tell is one of the engine splash pans on the carb side - see photos. There is rust in the gas tank, not leaking, but clogs up the gravity feed to the fuel bowl. Once rust is moved, car starts by electric starter and runs and drives. Again, everything on this car works, and it's ~90 years old. It has not been sitting in a field rusting, etc. All the glass is present, roof vinyl is present and not torn. There are obvious non-original items that have been replaced over the years. Seats are covered in vinyl, roof has been replaced, etc. most of the original cloth covering on the interior is still present. Cowl lights did not come out until 1930 so they are an obvious upgrade as is the vacuum operated wolf whistle probably added in the `50s. The tires still hold air for days.

Auction is for the car, car cover & engine crank only. No other accessories of any kind are included (no pump, no plates, etc.).

Vehicle is being sold with bill of sale from 3rd and 4th owner - vehicle has never been titled.
