Up for auction is a 1966 Mustang called “The Black Stallion”.Professional build thwat was well thought out with no-expense spared. And a true labor of love. The result is an ABSOLUTELY STUNNING, super-high National show quality Ford Fastback that runs, rides and drives as great as it looks. The car is ready to go!The restoration was completed less than 500 miles ago!

Paint & Body:

Arguably one of the most important aspects of a car building is the body, a single aspect that makess up 90% of its appearance. It’s the biggest impact on a person when they first see the car, but also people will be talking about this after they are done looking and taking pictures. Many times it can be the foundation that bases the quality of the entire build! If you have ever looked at a car and thought, “I cant believe how straight it is and how deep the paint looks,” then of course, that statement is usually followed by a “I wonder how they did that?” –THIS IS THAT CAR!!!

The goal was to make this car as straight as possible and paint a finish that is deep and flawless to the eye….and success was achieved. The paint and body on this Mustang is incredible…

Engine:

331 Stroker.Stroker engines are very popular these days. Why a 331?347 ci Strokers are OK…some say the 331 is a better choice of engine due to its better rod ratio, lighter assembly, higher RPM capabilities.A 347 ci owner will tell you his/her engine makes a ton of torque, but the 33puts more torque on the table (over a stockplacement block) yet still offers the high rpm capabilities.Essentially the 331 ci becomes the middle of the ground torque, horsepower and rpm ability, while offering the longer service life and drivability of a 347ci build.

The engine is the perfect street engine for an early Mustang. It is maintenance friendly, power and has high rpm ability, and is able to use pump gas (high octane is available everywhere now). This motor is a small block FORD MASTERPIECE!

The motor was built at Allison’s Machine Shop in Asheboro, NC.Highlight parts include Pro Comp Aluminum Heads, JE Forged Pistons, Scat Cams Roller Rockers. The engine is fed by a Holly Carborator and has a full tune up 250 miles ago.The exhaust is accomplished through Racing Metallic-Ceramic full length headers into a stainless X-Pipe to Stainless Mufflers and finally through the GT Rear Trumpets.

Under the hood you will find a completely new Air Conditioning service, New Billet Radiator, Ford Racing Valve Covers, and much more.

The transmission was installed 200 miles ago and shifts like butter.Tremec 5 speed with Hurst Shifter.

Wheels are Foose Bullit Wheels, to complete the Black Stallion Appearance sitting on Z rated Michelin Tires to give a smooth Ride!

Interior:

The interior is stock restored, including a new wood grain steering wheel with center cap and working horn.It also has a Rally Pack including Tachometer and Clock. The stereo is aftermarket with a power antenna so that when the stereo is off, the outside appears clean, and when turned on, clean sound flows through the cabin.Of course the headliner, seats, new carpethas all been restored.During this restoration, I added Dynamat Sound deadener to the entire Trunk, Under Carpet and inside Firewall to this car.As noted previously there is cold air conditioning and interior lights.NOTE – THERE ARE NO SEATBELTS INSTALLED.

This car is a high dollar restoration, and runs, drives and handles great. The “Black Stallion” has been a pleasure for me to own, and now is ready for her next owner!

I have a lift in my garage (Mainly for parking) and you are welcome to inspect on or off the lift.I purchased this car about a year ago and have enjoyed taking her to shows, events and driving around the town.During my ownership, I ensured full maintenance, the new tire/wheel package, Shelby Drop Kit professionally installed, Dynamat insulation, carpet and some other minor details that I wanted to restore. The key for me when looking was to start with a GREAT FOUNDATION.
