Description

Up for auction is a powerful 1972 R Code Mach 1 Mustang.Perfect for a restoration project or drive it around daily.It is a rare combination with only 336 1972 Mach 1 R codes made.Previous owner ordered a Marti report.

Still has original drive train consisting of 351 Cleveland, 4 speed manual transmission, 9 inch rear end with a 3.91 gear.Engine runs and sounds great.No smoking, leaking or rattling.Transmission and clutch are smooth and shift just fine.It is an original Ram Air car.Power disc brakes are fine.

Much of the paint is original.There is no Bondo or patches in this car.It is a survivor.The floors and trunk are very solid.The glass and trim are nice.The tires are new.The gas tank is new

It has an 8000 RPM tach and a 120 MPH speedometer.The electrical seems fine

There are some minor bubbles in the lower quarters and the seats show their age.There are also a few missing minor trim parts that are readily available.
