Description

This 1972 GMC Step side pickup started as a project over 5 years ago... most of the hard part is done. The truck has a rebuilt fresh 327 from a69 Camaro(per casting number) in it with a rebuilt turbo350 2100 stall converter and a shift kit. Runs and shifts great. The truck has been converted to disc brakes and it has lowered springs in it, new shorter lengthlowering shocks and all new rear brakes, new lines, wheel cylinders shoes all new. The Hubs are converted to 5 inch X5 pattern already so that is done also.

The front tires are new last year, the rears are about 40% left from burnouts and smoke shows.. and it has American racing Torque Thrust wheels on it 17x8 in the front and 17x9.5 in the rear.

The windshield is new also with a new seal. The side glass is tinted, the rear window is a slider.

The alternator is a new unit from LMC truck and the Distributor is dependable HEI unit from an 80s small block. It has an Edelbrock Carburetor and a torker intake manifold and small tube headers and glasspacks with megaphones.

It has a 12 gallon fuel cell mounted in the bed and it has a built infuel sender is the tank but it is not hooked up. The battery has been relocated to the bed with a Taylor relocation kit and it has a jump terminal under the frame if you have to add a trickle charger or ever have to jump it.

the heater blower motor is not hooked up either but it should work, I never used it in the winter or rainy days it should work because the control panel is brand new from LMC truck . Radio is a 80s Jaguar cassette radio and 6x9 Speakers in doors and it works. Truck has a Sun Tachometer and new gauges under the dash all work. Truck has a Mr. Gasket floor shift conversion and a Grenade for a shift knob. The truck has Delorean DMC floor mats in it.

A new aluminum radiato, new water pump, belts and tune-up recently done.( theradiator and water pump were just done and after these pictures which show the copper radiator )Another difference since these motor pictures is that it has a fan clutch on it now instead of the Flex a lite fan which was too noisy. It can come with the truck if you wish

All led side and tail lamps from LMC truck. Truck has crank windows, power-steering and power brakes. The diff is a 12 bolt not Positraction. It comes with a green Pennsylvania title and a bill of sale. It has a clear vin number and clean paperwork. This truck is the one to finish. 80% done project truck. . I am not guaranteeing the mileage on the truck because the speedo was not working when I got it so it is being sold as true mileage unknown. But the speedo works now. I never cared about the mileage and I am not even sure what the speedo says. so it is tmu.

What is left is the body work. One of the pictures is a few years ago, just after it was painted with DuPont Epoxy hot rod black primer. It is not that crisp now..Some of the flat paint is cracking.. it needs door skins, and floors. both the inner sills and the outer sills are very rusty. The rear fenders are savable but new ones are not expensive. All panels to this truck are easily available on LMC

the grille has some rust in it also. The main frame is mint. no rust, no accidents ever. the front bumper is new painted from LMC. It is a great Rat Rod, gets a lot of attention at shows.. but it needs attention to the body. More pictures can be available on request, it is sitting in my garage at all times. located near Hartford Connecticut if you want to inspect it which I prefer you do and that you drive it.

I have over $12k in receipts in this truckand it has been a lot of fun but new projects are starting so I amwilling to sellit at a loss. Please do not bid if you do not know what it is or what it is to build a rat rod or a home project. You will have a hard time finding a GMC in the first place. especially one that is already cool looking and has clean title and paperwork. But it has to be finished. Do not bid unless you know what this is.And if you arenear the area, I strongly hope you will see the truck in person and drive it. Thank you.
