Description

Rare Scout 800B model
V8 304 Engine, 4 Speed transmission, 4x4 with front locking hubs, Air Conditioning system, full convertible.
The Scout is currently registered to us and the tags are current, registered in the state of CA.
Recently replaced items include:
Clutch, Carburetor with new fuel filter, Dual exhaust with custom mufflers, Rancho shocks, Brakes, Upholstery, White Paint on hardtop, Michelin 31" tires.
I have not seen any leaks under the truck as it sits in the driveway.
Lights, blinkers, brake lamps work
I drove it around town yesterday, and the engine ran very well, fired up every time, shifted through all gears with all synchros working as they should, good clutch operation, good brake operation, lights worked, blinkers, and the steering felt fine with no jumping around on me. I enjoy driving the Scout.
NO RUST HOLES in outer body, NO RUST HOLES IN FLOORS! I have not seen any metal patch work whatsoever on the floors or the typical quarter panel spots. Bottoms of doors do not have any rot or patch work. Body looks very solid, doors shut well. Tailgate opens and closes, lift gate for top stays in place.
Windows roll up and down
Front seat upholstery is new; front seat has new foam and new leatherette covers. Door panels are new with matching white upholstery.
New painton full convertible hardtop
New windshield and new windshield gasket (not pictured)
International Harvester hubcaps
Overall, a good solid Scout in my opinion. Very hard to find a body this clean without a bunch of rot. The body does have some dings in it here and there.
Has the utility style rear compartment with a panel separating the cargo area from the front passenger area. Cargo floor appears solid.
The Scout 800B model only ran for approximately 8 months in the 1971 model year and was the final 800 model produced by International Harvester.
Gauges, wipers, horn, right tank non op.
