1987 RANGE ROVER CLASSIC, ZERO RUST
Description
This Range Rover is manufactured in April of 1987 for the USA market. Range Rovers were officially exported to USA in 1987 and hence this is the first year model which is very collectible. No sun roof and no air suspensions make this very collectible year with the 3.5 engine. This Rover is totally rust free. I have a regular arizona open title for the vehicle but for some reason when listing on ebay it is demanding I put salvage on the title status. I truly do not see any damage on the car except the dented roof. If at some point of its life it was salvaged by an insurance company, must have been either the roof or some other issue??? You are welcome to have it inspected.
Mechanicals
It start, runs and drives quite well. Does not heat up. Transmission and engine are strong. Could use tune up, spark plugs, wires, air filter etc.The Hi/Lo and Locking / unlocking works. I have not driven it much except around the block a few times. All the lights work. The windows roll up and down. Air Conditioner works but may need recharging. The compressor kicks in and out. Wipers work including rear wiper.
Tires are good. No spare. Have classic car insurance hence does not need smog here in Arizona??
Exterior
Small Dents on the roof looks like someone put something heavy and indented it. The hood/ bonnet has a small pierce. Otherwise body is very straight and paint quite good. Drivers side door latch from outside is broken. All others are good including tail gate. All lenses and lights are good. Windshield has a crack.
All gauges work including odometer. Mileage showing is not actual and is Unknown ???.
Interior
Driver side seat has a rip on seams. All other leather looks original, good with patina. Carpet is good and original. Wood could be refinished but all there and good. Door panels good. The molded panels in the boot are missing. Dash is really good with no cracks at all. Radio missing the inside but face plate is there. The center console not so good. Window switch panel all intact and with functioning switches. Seat adjusting power switches are working but could do with restoration. The fuse panel on the dash is exposed.
Undercarriage and the entire automobile is absolutely rust free.
It would be an easy restoration . I am selling it as I do not have storage place.
I have limited knowledge and have tried to give most details as accurately as possible for an honest appraisal.
Feel free to write and ask any questions and I will respond to the best of my ability and knowledge.
