Description

This is a 1991 Range Rover Classic. One of the most sought after Rovers. Etremely hard to come by. A few years from final production. I like to be up front and transparent about this Rover I'm selling. This vehicle is 27 years old and not perfect. It's overall condition is good. This is a project Rover in my mind. I know there are a lot of enthusiasts out there restoring these recently because there aren't many left n the market and there value is in the rise! This is an amazing base to start with.
The first thing people ask about the RRC is the rust issues. This has always been a Florida vehicle so there isn't any major rust issues. It does have the typical surface rust around the back window glass metal plate. Some under the rear tailgate when you pull the carpet up. It also has a little surface rust around the front air dam on the hood. In addition I have not attempted to open the sunroof but it looks like the previous owner attempted to seal it from the top because these is a leak. A Rover guy told me the drain is more than likely clogged. I can send pics of all of that per request. For the most part these are all very typical areas for this vehicle with its age. The body itself is in very good condition with maybe one small ding on the door and on left of the tailgate. It has never been in an accident. Extremely hard to find any Rover Classic not wrecked or body work done these days. Also all glass is fine. No cracks or damage!
The second question is does it run and drive? It's not something that your going to drive home today. Its goin to take someone that is mechanically inclined to look over the engine and diagnose the problem. I put in new champion plugs,Lucas wires, rotor and distributer cap. When I acquired the vehicle it did run but it was rough. About a week or so ago I put some Seafoan in the engine and let it run a while. The following day I went to start it up and it was turning over but not firing up. It must have clogged something in the fuel filter or injectors. When it was running it was running pretty rough. Just want to be transparent that this is going to some work.More than likely a head gasket job?Hope that of the info helps. I'm the furthest thing from a mechanic so I will do my best to answer any questions If you do have any questions PLEASE ask before bidding. Your completely welcome to schedule a time to come take a look! It sold As is!!!! Bring your trailer!!!
Please ask me if it have ANY questions!
