3rd owner. Car started life in Northern California and the last 20 years garaged in Southern Idaho.
Engine not original to car. It is a 1971 2.2 911T and has about 49,000 miles on the rebuild. It has recently rebuilt 40IDA Webers, pressure fed chain tensioners and Permatune ignition. Muffler replaced and heat exchangers look good.Recent fuel pump.Smokes a touch on startup and drips some but runs excellent. The 5-speed transmission shifts normally—certainly has a clutch in its future. Recently aligned and drives/stops straight. Toyo tires have about 7K miles on them but are 15+ years old.Body stripped and repaintedPolar Silver about 17 years ago. Paint is nice but not perfect—hood could have been better prepped. Chrome trim is complete—what is original looks good but is showing its age—bumper and side deco trim is new. Windshield new. Side glass has scratches from being rolled up and down—wing windows look and operate great. Front suspension pan and battery box professionally replaced. Floor appears solid.Most body and all window seals replaced at the time of painting. Interior is the original black leatherette and has optional S gauges—clock runs but doesn’t keep time. Targa top redone inside and out. Original carpet. Original steering wheel has new leather. Aftermarket retracting shoulder belts currently installed but original belts included. 80’s stereo was removed when dash trim was replaced although the speakers cut into the doors remain, as does the antenna. Also includes complete 911 tool kit (not original) and original owner’s manual.
Car currently has Bosch H4 headlights/Euro lenses and 15x6 deep Fuchs wheels.The original 15" steel wheels with hubcaps, original horn grilles (all need refinishing) US lenses, US rear bumper guards and US headlights/trim included. Original spare intact. The side marker reflectors were unfortunately removed at time of painting due to poor condition.
Car has been started, driven and enjoyed regularly/reliably for the past decade plus. Will continue to make a great driver with the potential to be even better.
