1957 PORSCHE 356 SPEEDSTER BARN FIND REPLICA BY CUSTOM MOTOR CARRIAGES OF MIAMI
Description
In time for Christmas! My beloved 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster replica, manufactured by Classic Motor Carriages of Miami, FL. It is categorized as a Classic Speedster with ID number S2544. The vin # is State of TN Dept of Safety TNVIN972815055058. Make 1957 PORC REP CV, Control # 0001406. Current tag registration in AL shows it registered as a 1957 Porsche 356.
I spent many hours creating this custom rust "look" to set it apart from others of its kind [showroom quality] because mine has the "appearance" of 62 years of faithful use! The "rust" is all hand-painted on the fiberglass body. For those who don't like the rust look, it can be repainted [or you can buy someone else's perfectly painted kit car!] The car doesn't actually have ANY RUST...it's all aesthetics, produced by a chemical process and lots of patience! This 1957 Speedster replica, 4 cylinder, 4 speed, has a Volkswagen Super Beetle dual port engine and shortened chassis.
It has had extensive upgrades; new floor pans with truck bed-liner coating which will give buyers years of trouble-free maintenance, new clutch, new plugs, new wires, new rotor, new rotor cap, new fuel filter, new air and oil filter. The braking system has been upgraded to the EMPI 4 wheel disc brakes and new master cylinder. The rims are the 5 lug Porsche 356 type. The engine has an external oil filter and oil cooler. I have removed the mechanical fuel pump and replaced it with an electric 12 volt fuel pump. It's never given me any hesitation on the start up and has never failed to bring me back home from the many car shows that I've attended [and won!]I've enjoyed many years of car shows and have a few accessories that come with the car, as shown in photos [vintage oil can, Coke cooler, goggles, 356 owners manual racing helmet, rear deck luggage.]In front of the gear shift is a vintage hand pump fire extinguisher. On the dash, you'll see a pair of dual lap stopwatches. Under the front trunk-lid, you will find a vintage Belstein jack, a rusty [fake rust] spare rim, and a replica 356 tool kit. The worn saddle brown interior has sport seats and working seat belts. The gaugesare a set of 356 replica speedometer, tach and combo fuel, temp and voltage meter. The rear deck lid has an original356 rack with authentic luggage included! The steering wheel is a NARDI replica wheel with a Porsche horn button. There is a push button stater on the left side of the steering wheel. The torsion bar covers are OEM 356 too!
The twin-tone air horns, headlights, fog lights, running lights, brake lights, blinkers and tag lights are all in working order. The windshield wipers are also working properly and the misters are OEM Porsche. The rear bumperettes and over-riders are original 1957 356 parts. The clock is a genuine 356 part that is non functioning condition, located next to the grab handle on the passenger side.
Not pictured is a never used fold down tan convertible top under the rear toneau cover and two side curtains. Original356 front bumperette over-riders and bar are alsoincluded. This vehicle is for sale in Montgomery Alabama and can be removed before the end of the auction. This vehicle is sold "as is". It is the buyers responsibility to set up shipping. A $500.00 deposit is due within 24 hour of auction closing. Please do not bid if you cannot afford to purchase this vehicle and make sure your wife says it's okay for you to have it! I have more pictures upon request. Question call three 34 221 4859.
