Description

Extremely rare wagon made only 2 years. In 1954, Studebaker built the Conestoga is celebration of being in business 100 years. The 5 Studebaker Brothers built wheelbarrows and in 1853 started making Conestogas (prairie wagons) . They were the only wagon company to convert to cars and be successful. The 54 Conestoga was carried over to 1955.

This car was bought new in Tucson, AZ and still has dealer plaque on tailgate. I bought it out of Indiana and it had an Air Force Base sticker in the window from Tucson dated 2004.

The car is basically original, except for 4 things:
350 Chevy
350 Turbo Hydro
9" Ford rear end
Vintage Air.

The car maintains it's original steering, brakes, seats, dash board, glass, wheels and chrome.
The paint is about 20 years old, but is original color. It has some scratches and dings but a good15 footer. ABSOLUTELY NO RUST ANYWHERE. All gauges work with a temperamental gas gauge. New brakes last summer. Rear Air Shocks, Mellow sounding turbo exhaust system.

It has new radial Wide White-wall tires with about 3k on them. Also, it took a while but I found 2 fender spears and factory fog lamps which were offered on the President model

I've owned it about 6 years, and is very reliable and drives down the road straight. The ONLY reason I'm selling is because I found a 57 Packard Wagon after many years.

Why pay close to $30k for a wagon with a 6, when you can have this sleeper with a great 350 Chevy

Best thing to do is call me for more info. Mark702-604-0005

Additional Info: The car is #98 off the assembly line

This is the video of the car before I bought it. You can get an idea of how it runs. And you can see I cleaned it up nicely. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03BoKDSEbJI
