Description

1973 VW Original AdventureWagen High Top Camper
Original California camper model with 90% original paint. Left rear corner top needed repair and was repainted. This vintage 46 year old bus does have some dings and dents throughout the body. Please look at pictures closely for details.

The engine size is a 1700 cc, CB model, runs great with dual Baby Dell 34 carburetors, new 009 dizzy, new quite pack exhaust, new complete clutch kit, flywheel turned, new rear main seal, with new plugs, wires, push rod seals, engine foam seal, throttle cable and half shaft. Fresh correct Delo oil with valves adjusted and new oil cover seal.

Outside: new tires, front window, right window seal, rear bumper, emblem, lenses, windshield wipers, antenna, front grill, and Westy jealousy windows were added.

Inside: new recovered front seats, front floor mat, seat surround mats, front side door panels, inside door handles, sky light, new LED lighting fixtures and a roof vent.

The camper interior was from a 1971 Westfalia. All the cushions have been reupholstered with Wolfsburg West fabric. Sink icebox unit with spice rack & fold down side table. Couch folds down to a bed with storage underneath. Inside folding table, side jump seat with storage under and behind. Closet space for hanging clothes, large paneled storage above couch and above front seats with a matching curtain. New floor mat with all new wood floor base, and wood paneling throughout the whole bus.
Rust: the only rust that can be found is on the drivers side rear battery tray and I put a metal plate over the area for support. Also, a couple of dime sized holes under the front floor mat. I have pictures.

I found this empty shell camper model bus that needed some TLC and I have been working on it for the last 14 months. This camper bus is turn key ready to drive. Clean Oregon title in my name.
